Marshall is the reigning world champion in Colorado and is recoginized in Ohio by M.W.A. Marshall would later defeat title claimant Ali Baba on June 26, 1936 in Columbus, OH, to solidify his status.

Steele is awarded the title after the decision is reversed in his loss to Marshall. Offices in Illinois, Indiana and Kansas still recognize Marshall as World Champion.

Marshall is recognized as champion after Steele is injured in a car accident on March 11 and is unable to compete.
Lou Thesz defeats Marshall on December 29, 1937 in St. Louis, MO, however the title changed is not recognized by M.W.A. in Ohio.
